His tragic journey started in 2021 when he contracted COVID-19 and was admitted to the hospital. Despite her pleas to bring her husband home, Corinne faced a wall of denial from the hospital, as they cited strict protocols and policies that seemed to prioritize their own interests over his health and recovery.

Corinne’s husband quickly realized the danger he was in, trapped in a hospital where his basic needs, such as food and water, were being withheld. Surrounded by dying patients, he desperately called and texted his wife, begging her to get him out. His cries for help were dismissed by hospital staff as mere hallucinations, and his lifeline – his phone – was often left uncharged, cutting him off from his family. This sinister isolation tactic left Corinne and her children in the dark about the dire situation unfolding.

The hospital administered Remdesivir to Corinne’s husband, despite his explicit request not to receive it. His health continued to decline, and he was eventually intubated, which led to his tragic death from cardiac arrest. The hospital’s actions were not just a result of the pressures they faced – they knowingly administered deadly drugs and harmful ventilator protocols, driven by the financial incentives provided by the PREP and CARES Acts and the NCTAP program.

Corinne and her children were left to pick up the pieces, grieving not only for their husband and father but also for their grandfather, who passed away just five weeks prior. The family was robbed of the chance to say goodbye and find closure, as the hospital’s actions left them with an emotional wound that would take a lifetime to heal. Yet, Corinne bravely stepped forward to share her story, knowing that doing so might save lives and inspire others to come forward with their own experiences.
