James and Niki Maxwell were married over 20 years and lived in Northern California. They had four boys and a grandson and were very well liked in their community. James was an athletic healthy man with no underlying health issues.  Niki and James both came down with Covid in Aug of 2021. After a few days, James was having a harder time recovering so his son took him to the hospital.

They told the hospital to call them when he was discharged so he could come back and get him. A day goes by and Niki calls the hospital and finds out that her husband had already been discharged hours ago. She sends her son up to the hospital and he finds his dad sitting outside on a bench sweating in the 100 degree weather super sick. They had sent him home with some heartburn medication and something for an upset stomach and that was it. A couple days later, he was getting worse so his son took him back to the hospital.

When Niki called the next morning she found out that they had already ventilated James without telling or asking anyone. After ten days on the ventilator with rough handling by the doctor and no dialysis equipment he needed, James had a heart attack and passed away. He was given remdesivir without the family’s consent and suffered kidney failure and sepsis. The family strongly thinks the hospital’s lack of proper treatment, the neglect and the toxic effects of the experimental drug, remdesivir all contributed to James’s death. We think so too.
