Ollie tells her story as a survivor of the Covid Protocols as well as the story of her sister in law Holly who did not survive her hospital stay. This is a summary of Ollie’s story.

I believe we caught Covid from shedding (a friend of my daughters) because my daughter got sick, then my husband then me.  They recovered. My husband and I took zpack and I only took the first 2 doses. I couldn’t keep anything down, then kidneys started shutting down and I Went to ER. They put me on IV and told my daughter they were going to give me remdesivir. She refused at my request.

My daughter told me later that they gave me anxiety meds because I was having trouble breathing. She says I was in ER for hours then taken to isolated Covid ward. I do not remember anything until almost a week later. When aware, I had been having nightmares and couldn’t sleep.  Slowly started being aware, but couldn’t figure out how to use my phone.  I was allowed 1 visitor a day from 6-8 pm.  Visitors were fully suited in plastic, gloves, masks.

I have list of meds but none listed as remdesivir or anything for Covid.  Only blood thinners (stomach), acid reflux drugs, etc.  I found papers they forced my son to sign as medical authority. After a week, A FEMA Dr and nurse assigned to me. Dr was African ( had an accent) and said he was treating Covid patients all over the world.

After we complained to my son that I didn’t understand what they wanted me to do, my son called a meeting with dr, nurses and an advocate and I was able to tell them why I was confused.  Afterward, advocate told me they were sending me to a rehab but were vague.  I thought I was being sent to a nursing home.  Got scared. Knew too many people who died there.  Lung rehab in Ft Worth was great.  Stayed there 3 weeks.
