On January 1, 2022 my husband told me that he didn’t feel right, like he was coming down with something. On January 2, 2022 he told me he didn’t feel good. I took his temperature, it was 103F so I gave him Tylenol. I started looking online for a Urgent care so he could see a doctor as this was a Sunday evening, I did find one open in Sicklerville, NJ. We went there and the parking lot was full and people were inside and outside in the parking lot waiting. We went in about 6pm and they close at 8pm. They told us that they weren’t taking any more patients.

The next day, Monday Jan. 3,2022 ,I took my husband to an Urgent Care in Berlin Twp. where my husband was diagnosed with Covid Omicron by Dr. Levinson and she said his temp was 103F and his oxygen was a little low so she prescribed Prednisone 20mg. My husband was not improving so I told him if he is not feeling any better by Friday, I am taking him to the hospital.

January 7, 2022 I took my husband to the hospital as he still had a temperature I was told at the front desk that I had to leave and that I couldn’t stay with him. I called his nurse sometimes twice a day sometimes more. My daughter took his cell phone to the hospital staff after about a week that he was in the hospital as I couldn’t go because I got covid from my husband. I finally got to talk to him he was so afraid he said that he couldn’t use his legs he couldn’t even stand! He was really upset but  I told him not to worry, that I will take him to rehab and he will get his strength back. I did speak to the infectious disease doctor and one of the many medications that he was giving my husband was Remdesivir. I told this doctor that he needs to stop giving my husband this medication and that people are dying from Remdesivir.

He said he would but I really don’t know if he stopped this medication. About ten days after my husband was admitted to the hospital, a Dr. Roy called me and told me very coldly that your husband has covid pneumonia and we have two options. We can let him go peacefully or we can put him on life support. I couldn’t believe how uncaring this doctor was talking to me. He also told me that if my husband survives, he would need long term care in a facility, and may never return to a normal life. January 26,2022, the nurse told me on the phone that my husband went into respiratory distress so they put him on life support. I kept calling days, nights, some nurses I felt like I was bothering them and some were very nice and caring.

This was February 5,2022. I was on the phone with my husband’s nurse and I begged and pleaded with him to let me visit my husband as  I hadn’t seen him in a month. The nurse told me he would try to get permission. The nurse called me back and said I could visit for one hour and that I am not permitted to take any pictures or videos and I will have to be wearing protective gear because my husband is still in isolation. I met with my husband’s nurse and he gave me the protective gown, gloves and mask and as I went into the ICU unit, his nurse asked me, has your husband ever had sores around his mouth and  I told him no. He also said that he wouldn’t  be opening his eyes as they have him on morphine to help with his breathing and Fentanyl.

I looked at my husband, oh my God what have they done to him. He was bleeding from his mouth, his nose, there was blood all over his chin. They had both arms restrained, both arms were wrapped and they were wet, his left arm was blue. I started talking to him, he was the love of my life, he opened his eyes and just kept looking at me and I will never forget that look. After a day or two they took my husband off isolation. I usually called to let them know I was going to visit but one day I went up unannounced and I saw two nurses just sitting outside my husband’s room talking, they saw me walking towards his room and the one nurse said to me I didn’t know you were visiting today. I went in my husband’s ICU room there was blood on my husbands face, on his pillow, his sheet and I was really upset. I felt like that they only make sure everything is just so when they knew I am coming up. The next day I was told that my husband needed blood so they gave him two units of blood.

On that Thursday before he passed, I was told his kidneys are not functioning properly and he is not a candidate for dialysis. I was in there every day and on Saturday February 12,2022, as I was going into my husband’s ICU room, his nurse came over to me and told me that my husband is dying, that  he had developed a cyst associated with death. She also said his skin is dying and his kidneys in complete failure. Oh God, he passed 8:50 pm. on Saturday February 12, 2022. I want someone to help me. These doctors and the hospital need to be held accountable for what they did to my husband. I asked Dr. Roy if they can give my husband Hydroxychloroquine and  the doctor sounded mad when I asked him he said in a stern voice no!
