Vivian went to the hospital and was instantly admitted. She was immediately put in the ICU. She was instantly deprived her basic human rights. She was deprived all food and water immediately upon admission. Her cell phone was out of reach and when the family would call to speak with her, she was “sleeping or didn’t want to speak with anyone,” which was a blatant lie. My mother was on her phone 24/7.

We were never informed about treatments being administered until after they happened. We would ask about certain medications, and would provide peer reviewed articles to the doctors, and were still denied these medications.  She was prescribed Ivermectin by her doctor, and they refused to give it to her.

Prior to ventilation, the medical record progress notes state that Vivian asked multiple times to leave the hospital – family was not made aware of this. We were unable to visit Vivian until after they ventilated her without consent. They sedated her 24 hours prior to ventilation.  Her blood oxygen levels were very close to normal, and her oxygen percentage was 94+ prior to ventilation.

Not even 24 hours after being on a ventilator she had mold in her lungs.  I blame this on the unsanitary surroundings and lack of proper medical care.  We asked for transfers multiple times without success; it was excuse after excuse with these doctors.

My mother ended up with septic shock which turned into refractory shock because the septic shock was not treated in a timely manner. They ignored the signs for days even when we expressed our concerns about possible sepsis.  She was given medications for too long (Vanco) causing her to go into acute liver failure, which resulted in dialysis. On one of her CT scans, it showed “ETT tip low riding and could be redacted 2.5cm for optimal location.” Over advancing endotracheal tube will lead to collapsing of the lung and/or infection.

My mother suffered from her left lung collapsing on 11/272021. She received a blood transfusion the day she passed without the family knowing, and there were no labs drawn before they forced my father to sign a DNR. She was on a very high level of sedatives.  We recorded every phone call with the doctors and following her death, compared them to the notes and there were an extremely high level of inconsistencies in what they told us vs. what they did.

My mom suffered multiple open wounds on her face due to neglect. My sister and niece went in daily to give her sponge baths because the nursing staff would not. Her hair was filthy, greasy, and matted to her head. The doctors/nurses pushed my dad to sign a DNR every time he was in the hospital to visit my mother. The nurses went through my moms cell phone and read her text messages.
