Geri’s Story – A Daughter Gone Too Soon
Marie Cherron Carr was a loving wife, mother and daughter. She was a teacher for years until she decided to devote her time homeschooling her kids. Her son, Jay, graduates from college this May at the age of eighteen – something Cherron looked forward to seeing.
In July 2021, Cherron’s husband, Casey, came down with Covid, and Cherron caught it soon after. She tried to fight it off at home but then her cough got so bad that they decided to go to the local clinic and get checked out. The clinic did x-rays and discovered she had developed double pneumonia, so they air lifted her to Rush Foundation Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi. She arrived on August 8th and was immediately given the hospital Covid protocol’s medicine, Remdesivir, even though the family had asked for Ivermectin.
During the next fifteen days, Cherron had been improving despite the fact that she was on an uncomfortable high flow machine which gave her anxiety. Doctors and nurses were hopeful that she would be weaned off the high flow and on August 22nd, they took her off the high flow and moved her to a regular floor. However, only hours later she started declining rapidly, and by the 23rd, her birthday, they intubated Cherron. Never having any prior kidney problems, her kidneys began to fail. Additionally, she had an UTI, which gave her a high fever. For the next two weeks, the family was hoping for a miracle, but the last six days of her life, she was unresponsive.
Marie Cherron Carr, only 58 years old, passed away on September 7, 2021. Her family wants answers, and believes that if she had been treated early with Ivermectin, she would still be with us today. We tend to agree.
Rest in peace Cherron; you will be missed.
