My mom was admitted to the hospital because she was having a hard time breathing. We asked the nurse at the time to please treat her with hydroxy or invermectin, but her reply was that they did not work.  My mom was in the ER for 3 days. We kept calling for status updates, and they said they were giving her steroids and vitamins.   We asked them to give her more Vitamin D, and they refused, saying if they did, she could get Vit D poison. They told us instead, they were going to do a PRONE technique. They said it was a new method and had a good chance of helping.  We asked the doctor to give her ivermectin and azithromycin. He declined and told us he was disappointed we were questioning him, that he graduated from a prestigious school and he knew what he was doing.  We did not feel comfortable with what was going on, and were making arrangements to have her taken out of the hospital. When we told them that, the next day she was moved to ICU.  They told us that she had bilateral pneumonia and a collapsed lung.  We later received a phone call that her kidneys were having issues and other issues were taking place.  We asked them what they were treating her with, and we were told remdesivir and other medications.  We told them to stop the remdesivir immediately, they had already given her 4 treatments.  We were not told, nor given permission for that treatment.  She then started getting worse and they had to put her on dialysis.  Nothing was working.  They called again and she had suffered a stroke and another collapsed lung. We were told she was getting multiple organ failure.  We were beside ourselves, wondering how could they do this to her, why didn’t they treat her in the ER with ivermectin like we HAD ASKED.  We were later called and told it was time to let her go.  We met with the ICU doctor and I had asked him why they did not use ivermectin.  He said they used the protocol that the hospital administration authorized, and that his colleagues all agreed works. He also said that they have this computer system that they access and they go by what is in that system.  I pressed him about remdesivir to which he replied calmly, REMDESIVIR does not work.  We all just looked at him. We did not know what to say at that point. I felt beaten and betrayed by all the doctors and nurses.  They used a protocol they knew did not work, and failed to get permission from us to even use it.  They kept my mom drugged up, we never got to see her or comfort her, and my father had to say his goodbyes from an outside window.  They were married for 53 years and he could not even kiss her goodbye.
