Lisa Ann Crocker was a reserved woman who lived with her 19 yo son, Justin.  Both began with symptoms of Covid on 8/10/21. After 10 days of self caring, Lisa reached out to her sister Jana and asked for help. Lisa was in respiratory distress.  Justin got on the phone with Aunt Jana as she explained to him that an ambulance was called and he needs to go with his mom. And to make sure they weren’t separated.

When the ambulance arrived, Lisa was taken out on a stretcher while Justin walked to the ambulance. Upon arrival at Northeast Methodist hospital in San Antonio TX, Lisa was immediately separated from her son for the purposes of testing for Covid. No one ever saw Justin alive again.

Justin, from what Jana understands, was almost immediately put on a ventilator. Justin went to the ICU and his mother only got to see him for a moment after he died. Sepsis and kidney failure bloated Justin to three times his normal size.  In addition, the hospital said he also had heart failure.

Justin was developmentally disabled, “slow” as Aunt Jana described him. But certainly not anywhere near as sick as his mother was at the time of admittance.  Justin died on 8/25/21, only 5 days after being admitted to the hospital and intubated. Tragically, Lisa, Justin’s mother, died six months later of a massive heart attack.

No one knows yet if Remdesivir was administered to either Justin or Lisa.  The family, however, believes Justin’s death was caused by the ventilator.  Think about it. A young healthy man only 19 years of age, whose survival of Covid is 99% or higher, goes into a hospital to help his mother and ends up dying 5 days later.

Today we honor Justin and pray for justice on his behalf.  We hope that Justin’s message which we share with you today will open people’s eyes and move justice forward another step against these crimes against humanity.
