We had Covid first at the same time in October 2020 and John got it the second time in November 2020. He was never admitted to the hospital because he was breathing fine. I didn’t want them to blow him up on a ventilator.

He was not seen by a doctor because they would not let him come to the doctor’s office. He had (1) telemed visit after he had survived. He was then denied all therapeutics by Fauci. He didn’t receive Ivermectin until (5) months later.

I sat with him on the couch (to keep his lungs clear) and did research on my own. The countries with the best success were France and Canada. From an aborted trip to Vietnam I had Chloroquine (malaria) and Azithromycin (food poisoning) already.

Their research showed I was only missing zinc. When I called the doctor’s office and John was denied an appointment I asked for his own prescriptions. The managing doctor, not our personal physician, denied the request.  I continued research and John and I agreed we would treat him with what we had.

I called the family doctor again and told him what we were thinking of doing. He could not give me a direct answer but finally said, “I cannot disagree with what you just said.” By this time John was able to help and found information on Remdesivir. That was never going to be an option.

From there John never regained appreciable strength for months. We ran (2) rounds of treatment with Tylenol for his fever before he started feeling like he was over it. However, he developed a very serious abscess which had to be removed. He started feeling much better almost immediately. Never fully regaining strength.

During my couch sitting research days I had tripped over Eastern VA Medical School Covid protocols. I immediately started us both on that vitamin regimen. His surgeon is a patriot and told me about Frontline Doctors. I started following their protocols and kept up to date as they changed as the disease evolved.

John never got past the extreme fatigue. Finally, our family physician sent him to an oncologist for examination. After the bone marrow biopsy, John was diagnosed with MDS. He was given (6) months to live. He has been on the infusion drug Vidaza since. After (2) blood infusions and bone marrow booster shots he started getting better.

He has been fortunate enough to reach remission but must have treatment every (5) weeks. He has had shingles since he started the infusions as well. Now John is on prescription drugs to offset the side effects of the MDS drugs.

Just this past week we found a new family doctor that will look after John. Our original doctor retired because he got sick of the government mandates that would not allow him to treat his patients as he wanted. He felt horrible having to deny John care. Any new doctor requests ended in non-responses.

John still suffers with no depth of stamina. His activities have become limited and the duration has shortened. He has regained back the (30) pounds he lost. Let me say that as a 79 year old man he was in excellent health. You would not have known he was that age.

My best friend who has survived cancer twice and an embolism just told me over the weekend, “Well, Fran we are all in excellent health until we aren’t.” My response to her was, “But, what matters is the care you get after you get sick. Mayo has taken excellent care of you. John was given nothing.”
