My husband, Daniel Gonzalez started showing Covid symptoms on 7-24-2021 and laid in bed until 7-28-2021. He was having trouble breathing so I took him to urgent care who said his oxygen was 59 and called an ambulance to take him to hospital. They said I could follow so I thought they would let me in with him, but they made me go home.

They put him in isolation from 7-28 to 8-18, I was kept from my husband for twenty long days. He was able to facetime me until 8-1, but on one call, he was with a nurse and said they did not feed him, but he was not very coherent, and she corrected him and said she gave him some food – I do not know if they did or not.

They ventilated him on 8-4 and did have a feeding tube into his stomach from 8-18 until he passed 8-24.

The doctors started him on remdesivir on 7-29, according to his records. As close as I can tell, and it was ordered for 5 days. The records state he got it on 7-29: 200 mg & 100 mg but when I search the rest of his records, it is it because very unclear. I am trying to get an itemized bill from the hospital. I am almost certain he probably got the 5 days as that was how long he was there before they could not control him keeping his mask on. They called me on 8-4 and said we must ventilate him “to give his body a rest.”  It is all over his records I asked for ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. I did get approve on 8-9 for 5 days but no more if I obtained the medicine and took it in so their pharmacy could verify it.

I have most of the medical records, almost 3,000 pages but I do not have imaging. I have doctors and nurses’ notes. He was given all the same drugs everyone else got, he was sedated, and paralyzed 99% of the time he was ventilated. The sedation vacations they tried made his vitals drop and he had a tough time recovering so they just gave up on that too.

The protocol killed my husband and not Covid. I am speaking out and sharing my story in hopes this will stop.

It’s all over his chart that he was unvaccinated and I was lectured by the pulmonologist that we should have gotten the vaccine the whole stay. I feel due to this I was kept away from him longer than I should have been and they tried to isolate him more. I was only allowed in the last week so I wasn’t able to see what all was done to him.
