My Husband Michael Troy Maddux went to the hospital to get a breathing treatment because his oxygen was low. He went in an ambulance and that was the last time I got to see him except a few video chats. He had been in there a few days and they allowed him to get up and sit they talked about ventilating him, and I asked them not to, the next night the Dr says to him you are breathing better and look better I’m not ventilating you!
He was so happy about that, I talked to him on the phone that night. He didn’t want to be intubated! The next day I get a call and they say he’s doing worse and they need to ventilate just to let his lungs have a break. The Drs were snappy with me the whole time I didn’t like even talking to the one Dr. Before they ventilated him I ended up in the hospital with COVID but not as severe!
So my oldest daughter took over as contact from the Drs. She really did her research on the medications, she asked them to give Hydroxychloroquine, no that’s not a treatment for COVID, what about this med no it’s not approved for this. She just kept getting the run around. They sent a Chaplin in to see me before I was released and they weren’t giving me my info about him. When I did get out and talked to the Dr he flat told me he is old and he most likely isn’t going to make it. In my opinion he was left in that room to die and that is exactly why we weren’t allowed to see him even thru the window.
