The 1st ambulance refused to take my mom to the hospital . The 2nd ambulance refused to take her to her hospital of choice. The initial nurse was rough with my mom in the ER. The nurse was short with me when I asked for ivermectin. The doctor refused monoclonal antibodies 2 times. I asked for my mom to be moved to a different hospital for the antibodies, and they acted they could do it, then denied it.
My mother, Teresa Spivey, (74 years old) fell ill the end of November, 2021. She was an active senior driving and shopping before she fell at home. My sister discovered her on the floor 2 and 1/2 days after she she fell, and she was incoherent.
The ambulance was called, and they took her to Piedmont Fayette hospital. I live one away and drove up as soon as I heard. I stayed with her in the ER, and they stated she had a UTI and congestion and put her on antibiotics. They wanted to admit her and said, she should be better in 2 days. The night nurse came in and was snatching my mom around, and was very rude to where I had to stand over her to make sure she calmed down. A staff member came in and asked if my mom had cancer because she had spots on her brain. This was new to me! The night nurse rammed a q-tip up my mom’s nose gave my mom a COVID-19 test without asking.
The morning came, and I voiced my complaints to the day nurse. She apologized for the night staff. Soon after that, staff with full headgear and protective suits came into the room and said I had to go and leave her. Seeing how they treated my mom, there was no way I was going to leave her there by herself.
I brought her home and fed and kept her hydrated until she started getting a fever. and I got a call from the hospital stating she had sepsis. I called the ambulance to take her back to the hospital, and they refused. They told me to give her Tylenol. I called again and begged them to take her to Emory Hospital, and they said Piedmont is the only hospital that will take her.
Once there, a physician called me and said they wanted to give her remdesivir. I said no, and I wanted her to have monoclonal antibodies. He said she is too far gone for that. He stated they can give her zinc and vitamin C. I was giving her that at home, so I agreed to that. She improved tremendously, but I was not allowed to see her.
Three days into her stay, the nurse said my mom would not keep the oxygen in her nose. I told them I can help with that they said, “No.” I asked for monoclonal antibodies again, and said I want to transfer her if she can’t get them. They were setting up rehab because they determined that she would get better. Despite this, she declined. The doctor said he tried to get 2 different kinds of monoclonal antibodies and was denied. He pushed redemsvir again, and said her oxygen levels were dropping. I asked for ivermectin and they said no. I told them it was recommended by the NIH, and they said it did not work.
They sent her to the ICU for higher oxygen. They told me remdesivir is her last hope, and it doesn’t look good, so I prayed about it and asked other staff about their experience with it. They had no valuable input. I didn’t know what else to do, so I gave in and said okay to the remdesivir.
I was finally able to see her through a window at the ICU. She was unable to control her movements and her voice was strong, but saying whatever came to her mind. The nurse put her food on her tray and left it. I had to tell them to go back in there and feed her. She wanted hot food and hot coffee. They gave her cold pudding and told me her diet was restricted. I had to tell them to put the cap I brought her on her head because she would get sick from not wearing one. She always kept something on her head for warmth.
I sat there until she went to sleep. I scheduled other family to see her over the next 2 days, because they allowed one visitor per day. ,Sunday, I prayed with her and read the book of Psalms to her and cried all night, because I couldn’t hold her hand through this. Monday morning came, and my Dad went to see her but come to find out they intubated her overnight. I didn’t see any calls from them, so I was shocked.
I went to the hospital and saw her laying there and the staff said she was stable and things look good. They flipped her and then she started to decline again. The doctor brought us in for an update and said, it doesn’t look good. They had her on the highest amount of blood pressure medicines, and there was nothing else they could do. They showed a picture of her full lungs. They were 90% clear when she first was admitted.
The doctor had me sign a DNR after describing how they would have to crack her ribs almost to bring her back. When she passed, they finally let me come in to hold her hand. They took out the tube and her nose was bleeding and eyes were half closed. My sister went in with me, and I screamed so loud because I couldn’t take it.
My mom had health issues we were not aware of, but I know if they treated her with the correct protocol I would have had more years to spend with her. I miss her and think about her everyday. She was always looking out for others and did not deserve dying alone due to incompetence and deliberate pushing of drugs for profit by medical system.
Vengeance is mine says the Lord, and I pray that they pay for what they have done to my loved one and many other victims out there.
