The Interview with Marie McMahel
Marie M’s Story
Randy McMahel was full of life and still working 40 plus hours a week. He had lots of friends and beautiful family. Randy and his wife, Marie, were about to retire in a few months at their new retirement home in North Carolina. That all changed when Randy got caught up in the trap so many other Americans have fell victim to.
After coming down with Covid, Randy tried to ride it off for about a week. Marie got concerned however and drove all night back up to Illinois to check on her husband. Randy’s oxygen got dangerously low and they were forced to get Randy to a hospital for some oxygen. Marie, also being sick, called constantly to check on him since she couldn’t go personally to see him. Although it was hard to communicate with the doctors and nurses, when she did get one on the phone they told her that he was doing ok.
The hospital immediately started Randy on remdesivir and then moved to ICU on November 15th, at which point they put him on a ventilator without anyone’s consent. Marie asked the nurse to try ivermectin and the nurse laughed and mocked her for asking for horse paste. Randy then experienced afib and a heart flutter. Randy spent the rest of his days alone on the ventilator until he passed on December 10, 2021.
