I found out after my husband died that Remdesivir causes multiple organ failure and does not help with Covid. I asked my sons doctor why they still give it. She said because it's protocol and that's all the hospital will allow.

As far as a couple nurses that I spoke with they were very sweet and I know they were updating me on him and one doctor was. One doctor approved for me, the kids and my pastor to come up 1 time when he was being moved from a regular room to ICU to most likely go on the ventilator. But when the other doctor found out he approved this I heard those doctors got into an argument because they said we were not supposed to be up there. We never got to see him weeks before and just 1 time standing behind the glass in ICU and couldn't even go in the room . Then of course after they put him on a ventilator we were not allowed to go up there. There was a big disagreement between those doctors because one was mad the other allowed this the 1 visit behind a glass.

Medications given: Remdesivir, antibiotics, antifungal, Azithromycin, blood thinner, blood pressure meds, Convalescent Plasma, diuretic, Oxygen, paralytic drugs, sedatives, Steroids, vit c

I believe the protocol was 5 remdesivir treatments and from what I understand my husband received 7. Of course at the time because I did not know a lot of information about it or side effects I thought this maybe the best thing. I didn't really understand what it does to the body and causes more fluid to build up in lungs until after the fact.

When my husband was admitted into the hospital we were not allowed to visit. One time they let us come up to stand behind a glass wall when he was in the ICU when they had transferred him from a regular room to go to ICU and knowing he was eventually going to be put on a ventilator. After this I heard that the doctors got into an argument because one Dr allowed us to come up. They did allow some video calls but no visitations or could not be in room to touch him or hold his hand until after he died. Also, he received 7 remdesivier treatments when I know normally it’s 5 from what I understand And I did not know what it does to the body. Especially filling the lungs with more fluid making it even harder for them to breathe.
