I took my son, Jason, to the ER on August 17, 2021, for a migraine headache. Jason thought he had another sinus infection like he had many times before. At the ER tent, we were approached by an uncaring, rude, triage nurse who said my son would be waiting and sitting on a hard folding chair for about six hours because they were so busy. After I parked my vehicle, I came back and Jason was now in a wheelchair and was given oxygen. I asked the nurse what was happening and he said his oxygen saturation level was 91-92.

I went back to my vehicle to wait for him to be treated and released so I could take him home. Jason called later and told me to go home.  He was feeling better and they would be keeping him for a few days. From there, the hospital was in contact with his wife, Tiffany, for his information.
Tiffany was told Jason was so dehydrated that his organs were beginning to shut down. Jason’s organs responded well to the fluids given so he was soon transferred out of the ICU and transferred to the COVID floor. Two nights in a row, we were awaken by Jason calling and complaining that the staff would not give him something to help him sleep. Jason was on high doses of steroids which were not allowing him to sleep.  The travel nurse had no idea of the side effects of steroids. We were told the doctor didn’t want to give him anything to help him sleep because of his condition. Eventually he was given a sleep aid.

On day nine of his hospitalization, August 26, 2021, we were called by the nurse stating they were putting Jason on a ventilator immediately. Jason was told by the doctor he would only be on the ventilator for a week. We were not given a chance to talk to him.
Jason’s condition became critical and Tiffany was allowed to spend time with him, but only after Jason was ventilated and heavily sedated. After a few days, my husband and I and our older son were allowed to visit Jason. Tiffany was manipulated into signing a DNR because she told they can’t do CPR on a ventilated patient. His condition continued to worsen. Tiffany received a call on September 5, 2021, and was told Jason would need a lung transplant if he survived. On September 12, 2021, Tiffany received another call and was told Jason had a collapsed lung. In the early morning hours of September 13, 2021, Jason’s heart stopped.

Upon arrival in the ER, Jason’s oxygen saturation was not severe, he could’ve been given Ivermectin and sent home on oxygen if needed. Jason could have been given Monoclonal Antibodies in the ER. I know for a fact that Monoclonal Antibodies were given by December 2020.
We were clueless to the dangers of Remdesivir when Jason was hospitalized. I took Jason hoping and believing he would be treated appropriately. He was a very healthy young man and was taken too early from his three children.
