My Dad was a relatively healthy and active 77 year old man who lived for his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a hard worker and was there to help anyone who needed it. He had faith and was a very good person.

He was showing signs of dementia/Alzheimer’s, but we had not yet been able to convince him he should have tests done. The first picture of him was taken July 28, 2021. The second was taken November 24, 2021. His decline was rapid and would not have happened under normal circumstances.

End of July, my dad came to my office and wasn’t looking good. I thought he was just feeling the heat. On July 31st he went to a friends house to finish a job that he started. He was staggering around and they called the ambulance for him.

He went in July 31st, 2021 to the hospital. He was diagnosed with pneumonia. They wouldn’t let me see him or go back. They eventually said he had Covid. They were giving him supplemental oxygen.

During the time he was in the hospital they gave him Ativan, Dexamethasone and Remdesivir. They denied him Vit C saying it was an “old wives tale”. Also asked Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine. They said it didn’t work. I didn’t want to get kicked out so it was hard to advocate for him.

Eventually they only let one person in to see him a day. His dementia started getting worse during his stay. He came home Aug 7th, 2021 and was never the same. He passed away in Dec 2021. I lost my dad. My grandkids lost their great paw paw. It’s hard knowing that his death.

A month after he was released he had to come live with me. I he had to be put on hospice.

I’m just not able to articulate any further than what I have above.  The pain is still to overwhelming & I can’t see thru my tears.
