Mentally & Financially Harmed by Mandates
On January 10, 2022, I was put on an illegal Leave of Absence without pay for not obeying the mandate. I was also denied Employment Insurance, and had to put in a request for reconsideration which was denied again. Then it went to the Tribunal level, and there after a year of fighting and without an income, I finally won.
Most of the people in my group did not win. I was off for a year and 4 months and only called back to work once we dropped our lawsuit against the employer and federal government. Our lawyer said we could not win due to jurisdiction (unionized employees) and similar cases that went before us.
