My Sister was Put in a Morgue Truck- Emeralda’s Story
Mariathi started feeling ill around March 27th of 2020. When she got short of breath on March 31st, she went to Queens Hospital hoping they would treat her and send her home. Instead, they admitted her and immediately gave her a toxic, experimental drug, remdesivir. After only two days they put her on a ventilator, without even letting the family know anything they were doing.
The doctors did not communicate with the family, and, forcibly isolated, Mariathi was completely alone left at the mercy of hospital’s staffers. Within three days of being given remdesivir, her once healthy kidneys started to shut down, and two days later, Mariathi died.
All of this happened to Mariathi without hospital staff telling or asking her family anything. She was one of the first bodies in New York to be put in a refrigerated truck, where she laid for days. Only two people were allowed to go to her funeral. Her family never got to see her body at all.
The family is now having a tough time getting her medical records. We wonder why. Could it be that the hospital has something to hide? My guess is most likely. We will keep trying to find out what happened to Mariathi Gianoumis and make sure she is remembered and honored like she so deserves.
This is one of many stories we have documented for our COVID-19 Humanity Betrayal Memory Project, a living archive of individuals harmed by crimes against humanity throughout the pandemic. If you have a story you would like to share, please submit it here. You can browse more documented cases of humanity betrayal below. If you feel this is important, please share this page to your social media pages – and since it will probably be censored from social media, take the extra step of emailing it to your friends and family. Thank you for helping us raise awareness of the terrible ordeal our public health agencies have put these people through, so that we can try to prevent crimes against humanity like these from happening to anyone else.
