The story of Jerry Victor Scott

Our dad began having symptoms on July 24, 2021.  He tried to treat this illness himself, but on July 31, 2021, he began having difficulty breathing, so he drove himself to Shawnee Hospital.  Once there, they admitted to the hospital – without our knowledge.  He did not wanted to worry us, so we didn’t know he had gone to get help for 3-4 days.

Once we found out about our dad, we realized family members weren’t allowed to visit.  We texted with Dad and asked if he was eating and small talk like that.

He was in there eight days before we were allowed to go in.  On Friday, Dad stated, “Looks like I will go home on Monday, but they are allowing visitors on Sunday.”  So, his three daughters arrived at 3:00 p.m., and stayed until they asked us to leave – at 8:00 p.m.

Because we knew Dad was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia, we asked what antibiotics were being administered.  We couldn’t believe that our dad had been there eight days and they had not given any antibiotics!  The nurse we spoke with said he had had no antibiotics.  They just put him on the COVID-19 protocol, which included remdesivir and the vent.

Talking with his nurse, we asked why the doctor hadn’t put our dad on antibiotics and she replied, “Yes, ma’am, but these are the doctor’s orders.”  After that, we asked about proceeding with ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, vitamin C, since we had heard they people were having good results using this protocol.

After I, Lori, had returned home from visiting with Dad all day, we received a telephone call at 11:00 p.m., from an ICU nurse saying, “Your dad is going to have to be put on the vent.  If there’s anything you want to say to your dad, you need to say it now.”  He was put on the vent that night, and we were there the next day.  This was odd:  he went from going home on Monday to needing the vent in a matter of hours.  Things didn’t add up.

After an attempt to put Dad on his stomach, we took shifts and one of us was there 24/7.  On 8-12-2021, they asked us to sign a DNR, because they said his kidneys weren’t working.  They stated he needed dialysis – for a few days.  At that time, we had a meeting with the doctor at which time they encouraged us to sign the DNR.  The doctor spoke of this, “You have to understand what kind of picture your dad’s lungs are like.  It was like a tornado went off in his lungs.  We have done everything, including the kitchen sink, but noting will work.”   Everything, except ivermectin.

On 8-14-2021, Lori stayed the night, but we didn’t have a lot of say so in his treatment.  Lori went home at 7:00 a.m., on 8-15-2021.  Once home, I received a call from the hospital saying, “You need to come back because you dad’s not going to make it.”  By the time we could return, he was gone.  We asked them to keep the vent on until we got there, but they nurse said, “Keli, you need to give your dad up.”

We received his medical records, but it is just too difficult to even look at them.  We know that he was murdered.  Our dad’s brother’s story sounds almost the same as our dad’s, and they died at different hospitals within twelve hours of each other.  We have heard that smaller hospitals have been targeted to receive financial support if they followed the protocol set by the CDC.

How has your dad’s death affected your lives?  Our lives have changed because some parts of the family (our ½ brother) believes the medical field more than us.

Our father was a dairy farmer.  He had us three girls.  My dad raised us to be hard workers.  He put God at the top of his list and then his family.  He loved us and had three sons-in-law whom he loved.  Our dad was the patriarch of the family, and he had a very good relationship with his three daughters.

He wasn’t a guy who took a lot of medicines, took vitamins and was a very healthy person.  This protocol took our dad.  This brings up a lot of emotions.

What would you tell the world?  Never take one second for granted.  Never leave your family member at the hospital without someone there.   We miss him, and there is not a day goes by that we don’t think about him.  I can believe that they did this to him.  This was different than someone dying from a disease.

When my dad was in the hospital, they asked if he was “vaxxed.”  We feel he was treated wrong because he had not taken the shot.

I have a text on my phone with my dad, “Daddy keep you mind right,” because they wouldn’t let us in.
