My Precious Chuck

Chuck had been showing flu like symptoms. Went to ER, they admitted him. He had been healthy otherwise, and able to walk fine. They put him in ICU on high flow vapotherm oxygen. They gave him Remdesivir. He kept getting worse.
I got Covid pneumonia a few days after he did, and quarantined at home. I received the antibodies at the ER and survived. I could not visit Chuck… I had to call nurses station to get information about him.
After 2 weeks, I got to visit him through a glass window. He seemed to be improving. Then I got to visit in his room and hold his hand. The next day, he was forced on the ventilator and died a week later. It was the most horrible and tragic thing I’ve ever seen and been through. I was in shock for months after.
