This wasn’t even Covid but during the time they were trying to euthanize seniors, she had a UTI! I called every shift to confirm she received her medications, was allowed 2 hour visits, but I called constantly at shift change.
The night before she was to be discharged, I called the nurse before bedtime and told her to make sure her bipap was on correctly, guess what, of course she didn’t have the oxygen on, she miraculously survived and they started pushing DNR. Both mom and I said no, they began to withhold her diuretic, a simple life saving med, unbeknownst to either of us, until her levels rose to 3600! Then they began saying that she couldn’t swallow, she could swallow fine.
My mom told me to get her out, she was starving and thirsty, so I gave her orange juice and Ensure, and they sent security to kick me out and administered more fentanyl! She wasn’t in pain! They killed her on Christmas Day for a UTI! It is surreal.
