Stan worked in heavy construction for NY. On Thursday, Sept 23rd, 2021 he started to not feel well. The next day he woke up and had a fever. Stan called in sick, which was unusual. Pam was in the process of losing her job for not taking the jab. She worked in the medical field. But they did go to Pam’s place of employment to get tested for Covid.

Both Stan and Pam tested positive for Covid on Sept 24th. By the 27th of Sept they both went to the hospital to get checked out. They were sent home and told to come back if their lungs got bad enough. Stan asked if he could get a Zpak, they gave him 5 days.

After a few days his oxygen was low and he went back to the ER. He was admitted and pressured into Remdesivir. Stan did not want Remdesivir, he did not want the ventilator. Pam was also admitted and told that Stan would not take the Remdesivir until she did. So she told them fine, give it to me.

Pam was not allowed to be with Stanley. She went home after about 6 days. Stanley received 5 days of Remdesivir.  After 7 days, he developed blood clots and needed to have surgery. When Stan had the surgery they put him on a ventilator. They told Pam that would try to get him off the ventilator quickly. Stan was on the vent for 46 days!

Stanley had terrible delusions due to the heavy medications they were pumping into him. He would ask to talk to his dad who was passed away 5 years prior. He would wake up after thinking he had escaped and realized he had not escaped. Stan recalls it feeling like he was headfirst into a barrel.

He felt they were going to kill him. They did not take good care of Stan in terms of medical or personal hygiene. In fact, he had a large bed sore down to his bone.  At one point at nurse left his oxygen off for hours. One of the only good nurses he had left for 3 days. Upon her return, she was surprised at how much his care had declined while she was away.

To this day Stanley does not know how he survived but God. A week after coming off the vent and went to rehab. At that time he was a double assist. He was in rehab for a month and went to physical therapy. At first he couldn’t walk and then he could slowly started making steps.

When his insurance ran out the rehab discharged him. (28 days) They realized his insurance ran out and then rushed to discharge him that day. Stanley always felt the response to Covid was a hoax. Not Covid itself but the reaction, response to it.
