My name is Cassandra Mulligan, and a friend recommended that I reach out to you to publicize what is death camp medical malpractice and assault on my handicapped sister, DESIREE ROSE MURRAY, by Good Samaritan Hospitals, Dr. Robert Chow, MD (infectious disease doctor), Dr. Voichita AIonesco, MS (Internist at hospital), as well as any nurses or PA’s who touched her, Priscilla Allers, patient advocate, and the social workers office.
Desiree has lived with me, CASSANDRA MULLIGAN, her biological sister, her whole life. In addition, my brother, BENJAMIN MURRAY, and I have been her primary caretakers for the past eight (8) years since our mother died.
DESIREE also had self direction through OPWDD (NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities). She had a budget, which paid for her staff of four (4) community habilitation (com hab) workers to help make her quality of life more meaningful in the community.
She had an amazing life, regularly seeing theatrical performances, taking art and dance classes, going out for meals every day, and many social gatherings. She had her own bedroom, bathroom and living room in my house and wanted for nothing.
Desiree was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY via ambulance the morning of 1/1/2022, because I found her passed out on her bedroom floor with a pulse ox of 50. She had been sick since Christmas, and had gotten worse.
In the ER we were discriminated against for not being vaccinated and pressured to give her remdesivir and other toxic drugs. We had her integrative doctor on the phone with us the whole time trying to advise the doctors. They ridiculed and shamed us, and basically treated us horribly. After being in ER all day and night, she was admitted at 2AM on 1/2/2022 to the MICU.
She was COVID-19 positive with double pneumonia. The family refused remdesivir and suggested drugs from the MATH protocol. Although doctors did not agree, they agreed not to administer further remdesivir. (They had administered one (1) dose).
All week, Desiree was on CPAP and improving. I have all records from “MyChart.” Dr. Robert Chow actually told me (Cassandra) that remdesivir would not cure COVID-19 or affect mortality either way. That helped my decision not to administer. In addition the ICO doctor on staff, last weekend was amenable to our requests for vitamins, melatonin, budesonide and any less toxic drugs. We also asked that Haldol not be administered and informed them of Desiree’s dairy allergy.
Again, Dr. Chow and Dr. Ionescu heavily pushed us to give remdesivir and Haldol, and we denied it instead requesting safer medicines and high dose vitamins.
All week Desiree was improving significantly according to her charts. Respiratory in ICU got her on nasal cannula on Monday, and then she was moved to step down. We requested an in-room one-on-one to help her comply to the medical cannula and face mask but were denied. They had a person outside her room looking in, but because of her mental state, she needed someone on her side when we were not there. By Thursday, she was doing great with very little pneumonia left and no lung damage.
On Saturday, Dr Ionescu informed me that OPWDD became involved and took over her care. ,I have subsequently found out that that was a lie. ,OPWDD council Eileen Zibell, Esq., 518-474-7700 told me over the phone that she never gave the hospital they authority to take away decisions from me. ,In any event, I lost all authority over Didi and the state had taken over. We asked that certain drugs not be used, but now, it is out of our hands. ,My brother was escorted out of the building when he tried to block them from giving the drugs, so we needed to get an attorney first.
On Saturday 1/8/22, Haldol and remdesivir were administered at the same time to Desiree, against our wishes at 8PM, and Didi went into distress at 9. Consequently, she hyperventilated, lost ability to maintain her 02 levels, and was put on a ventilator by a physician assistant!
In the process, both lungs collapsed because of the ventilator mis-placement. She had bedside surgery to place tubes in both sides of her chest to try and inflate her lungs. I am not even sure who did that surgery. Perhaps the same physician assistant. The Left side they say was successful, right side still partially collapsed. They also started remdesivir and gave fentanyl (all against our wishes). Although I was numb with concern, worry and, yes, rage, I was praying that Jesus would heal her first, and fighting these demonic institutions second.
Note that the nurse supervisor hung up on us Saturday. and refused to give her name. The nurses who no longer wore badges, refused to give their names. Patient Advocate, Priscilla Allers, was no help at all, and neither was the social worker. I was told to call Joan Joseph, Administrator, on Monday at 631 376 3000. Meanwhile, the hospital had assaulted my sister, collapsed her lungs and continued to each day, as they give her Haldol, fentanyl and remdesivir. I think there is a law, USC Section 193 (violation of my handicapped sister’s civil rights, failure to provide meaningful records of names of nurses, on staff).
In Summary, from January 1st through January 8th, Desiree was improving very well. On January 8th, after being given Haldol and remdesivir against her families wishes, she had a drastic reaction within one (1) hour. Subsequently, a ventilator was improperly placed causing holes in her lungs (lung collapse) leading to a rapid and severe decline.
The hospital did this to my sister because they refused to listen to the families wishes, which were best for Desiree. This was not just malpractice, but it was assault on a vulnerable person who could not speak for herself. As of then, she was dying and in kidney and liver failure, and we relied on the Lord to heal her since the hospital was pressuring us to put her down like a dog. I just didn’t know what else to do. I needed help.
Desiree died in the hospital on 1/21/22 on a vent.
I have printed all of her hospital records that are available on line, and will try and get anything else I can from the hospital before they are destroyed.
Thank you,
CASSANDRA MULLIGAN
