Sometime in January, my husband went to the hospital ER stating he was having a hard time breathing. They tested him, and said he had Covid 19.  They gave him a nebulizer machine to use and sent him home.

A week or so went by, and he was doing better.  Then one morning, he woke up and said he couldn’t breath.  I told him to calm down, and took him to the ER.  They admitted him, but he was having to stay in the ER room, because they said they had no beds.  He stated his back was killing him, and that he needed a better bed.  They had rooms just not oxygen machines.  He was in that bed for 2 or 3 days in the ER.   Then they finally brought him a bed from one of the rooms.  My question is:  why didn’t they do that when he stated his back was really hurting him?

One of those days, his dinner was brought to the nurses’ station, but they were so busy talking, joking and laughing, they forgot to bring him his food.  So, my daughter-in-law went and bought him something to eat because the food was cold from sitting in there so long.

The next day, I came in because I was worn out from staying with him to remind him to breath and to keep his oxygen levels at least to 90. I did this for two days. They informed me they were sending him to Stillwater Hospital.  This time, he spent 5 weeks there. I think it’s been almost a year since all of this took place, so it’s hard to remember details.

While at Stillwater, they tried to take the ventilator several times, but his heart was giving him issues when they tried.  He never had issues with his heart either.

After 4 or 5 weeks, they decided to send him to Tulsa to the PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa, and this is were he ended up dying.  I was not happy with the way they were taking care of him.  They didn’t even try to take some of the water out of him.  They basically just let him lay there and die.
