I took my husband Jeff to Sparrow hospital for monoclonal antibody infusion per our doctors orders. The doctors at Sparrow admitted Jeff for dehydration.
The ER doctor said they would start him on medication. I asked what medication he said remdesivir. That is when I said, “I DO NOT WANT HIM ON REMDESIVIR!” At that time, I left the hospital expecting to bring him home the next day. Instead, they isolated him and put him on remdesivir.
They never did give him the monoclonal antibody infusion. On day 3 his heart went bradycardia from remdesivir. So, they put him on a pacemaker day 3. On day 4 they vented him . He never got to come off the ventilator. On December 13th they euthanized my husband.
