Carla Masterson, 64, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was exhibiting erratic oxygen levels and delirium.  She was taken by ambulance to Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, Indiana on August 20, 2021 which was a Friday.  On Monday she spoke to her husband, Ray, and told him, “do not ever take me to the hospital on Friday” because she had not received any kind of medication over the weekend.

Ray constantly called the hospital trying to speak to his wife and get any updates on her condition. After the second week, he was transferred from the nurses’ station to his wife’s room, but Carla was having trouble answering and Ray heard the nurse say, “put the damn phone down!”  That would be the last time Ray would have been able to speak to his wife.

Finally, a doctor reached out to Ray explaining that they were having good luck with this “medicine” to treat Carla with.  Numerous times the family was approached by whether or not they or Carla had been vaccinated.

Carla would end up having three heart attacks, intubated, and three weeks on her back. When Ray was asked about turning off life support, he said he would go home and think about it and return in a few hours.  When Ray returned, the hospital had already removed the ventilator without Ray’s permission.
