I was treated with disrespect, staff made me feel guilty about my choice, continuously berated me saying the only reason I was probably going to pull through was that I was younger.
I first started experiencing Covid symptoms on August 10th, 2021. On August 11th, 2021, I went to an urgent care for a Covid test and testing positive. I sought Ivermectin from the Urgent Care I went to and was denied. Then, I called my family doctor, and was denied as well.
I ended up getting a prescription from a Doctor affiliated with FLCCC and got my hands on Ivermectin. However that took another 2 days. Then, 3 days later, my wife came down with Covid as well. I gave my Ivermectin supply to her until she could get a prescription as well.
My symptoms continued to decline after coming off the Ivermectin. Eventually, I developed Pneumonia. I got to a point where my blood oxygen read 84. So, my wife took me to Baylor Scott and White – Grapevine, located in Grapevine, TX.
I got to the hospital ER, and only I was allowed in as Covid protocols only allowed 1 person in at the time. I waited in the ER for about an hour and a half before I was seen. After I was taken back.
I was immediately quarantined and left in a room for about 3 hours, during this time they hooked me up to oxygen and an IV. After getting oxygen, I started to feel better. Luckily I was able to take my phone with me.
I was taken to the Covid wing of the ICU, where I was immediately put on remdesivir without my consent or knowledge. I was in the ICU for 6 days total, and during that time I was never able to see my wife, who I designated as my advocate.
I was subjugated to continual remarks that I wouldn’t be there or I would be better if I was vaccinated. That I was lucky I am young or else I wouldn’t have great chances or would have to be put on a ventilator. After the 2nd day of being in the hospital, I started to call my wife every time a nurse or doctor came into the room.
During my time there, I was never taken out of bed until day 5. I lost my ability to walk independently because I was too weak. I never had a bowel movement because no one would take me to the bathroom, and I used a bedside urinal whenever I had to relieve myself.
I never had my gown changed the entire visit, even after it got covered in some of my blood from a nose bleed. I did not receive any hygiene items until day 4, and it was not until I asked for them. I did not get any sleep or rest during my stay.
The hospital refused to discharge me for 2 days after they said I was ok and passed some tests they made me do. They wouldn’t let me go without having an oxygen supply at home, which I had to call a local oxygen vendor for and coordinate a delivery.
