Timeline of Bill's Hospital Events:
7/17/2021 - First symptom (cough)
7/19/2021 - Tested positive
7/20/2021 - Started process to get monoclonal antibodies. PCP faxed request.
7/23/2021 - Went to SMH ER on advice from PCP. O2 Sats dropped to 90%. Walked in expecting to get a breathing treatment and leave. He was admitted. Remdesivir treatment started. (I was not allowed in hospital.)
7/23/2021 - Monoclonal antibodies approved but hospital would not administer stating they could only be given on an outpatient basis.
7/26/2021 - Bill was transferred to ICU on high flow oxygen (60 Liters).
7/28/2021 - Bill’s labs were normal; chest x-ray showed improvement.
7/28/2021 - Bill Face Timed me at 3:30am stating nurse refusing to give him water and threatening to restrain him. I pleaded with nurse to give him water but she would not stating could not take his mask off.
7/29/2021 - I spoke to Bill on FaceTime briefly at 8:30ish. He was struggling to breathe and very thirsty. I received call approximately 10:30am from nurse practitioner stating they needed my consent to intubate. It was an emergency and doctor was standing by.
If I would have said no, he would have died that day.
7/29/2021 - Bill’s WBC doubled and he became dehydrated according to labs. NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THIS TO ME.
8/9/202 - Nurse practitioner called me to ask me to come in to sign DNR. I was able to see Bill and pray over him. The medical team had obviously given up. They put me in a room with the chaplain, and two palliative care physicians to try to get me to sign DNR. I refused.
8/10/2021 - I went back to hospital to pray over Bill but security blocked me.
8/14/2021 - Nurse Practitioner called to say Bill was not going to make it and they wanted me to sign DNR. I went and prayed over him again.
8/16/2021 - I was called at approximately 11:00am and advised Bill was actively dying. I had to pull over on the side of I75 and watch my husband die on a FaceTime call. Medical records documented he was “actively dying” before 8:00am. I was 20 minutes away. They called me too late.
According to review of the medical records, Bill became dehydrated on 7/29/2021. He lasted 18 days and it appears he died of a heart attack secondary to dehydration.
NOTE: From the first call to our PCP, and every day after hospital admission, I requested the Ivermectin Math+ Protocol. I was told by every physician, “It’s against our hospital protocol”.
Two days before Bill died, I was finally able to speak to a wonderful physician who was very familiar with the Ivermectin protocol. He advised me that he had presented it to the Hospital Board but they voted against it. This physician administered Ivermectin to Bill on 8/14/2021 …but it was too late.
