On August 7, 2020…..my mother Shirley Rowe, 67 years young, took her last breath at Beaumont Hospital in Troy Michigan. A place where sick people went to get better and the thought that doctors would do all they could to save you.. But that did not happen for my mom.

On Monday July 13, 2020 my mom started getting sick with flu-like symptoms and running a fever. We found out she had been exposed to the Covid 19 virus. So I contacted my mom’s physician and he started treating her symptoms and put her on a zpack. My mom continued to get worse and by Friday after getting an outpatient chest x ray; it was confirmed she had pneumonia in one lung. We were really scared to take my mom to the hospital because of all of the Covid deaths that were being broadcasted early on in the pandemic. We thought by now (July 2020), the hospitals must have everything under control. When my mom’s oxygen dropped to 88 and was having such a hard time breathing, we had no choice but to trust the doctors and hospital. After all, they must be trained for this sort of thing, right? Wrong.

On July 17, 2020 when I took my mom to the emergency room at Troy Beaumont hospital, I did not know that would be the last time I would hug and kiss my mom, and it was goodbye forever.
I was not allowed to escort my scared sick mom and hold her hand while giving her hope that we would get through this. No visitors allowed period. “You can just Facetime her” I was told. Right away, I kept in communication with the hospital nurses and told them I wanted an update everyday. I didn’t even go to work in case they needed to get a hold of me. But I was not informed of anything going on unless I contacted them, which I did…morning and night.

My mom had pneumonia before and was hospitalized a few years earlier. So we knew what worked for her and wanted to let the nurses and doctors know what to try, and hoped they would try everything. I knew my mom needed the heavy duty nebulizer breathing treatments that she previously had before in another hospital. I was told no because Covid would get into the air, so she could not have any breathing treatments. The nurses and doctors said that they had to follow the protocols for Covid 19 set forth due to the pandemic. (Plasma and Remdesivir). Now I know that Remdesivir (also known as the death drug) caused organ failure in the early trials of the drug and should have never been used. Drugs like Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin which were effective in saving lives were banned from being used. I asked one of the doctors to give my mom Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin and he said “just because I saw it on the internet they were not going to give it to her”. I also asked if they could give her antibiotics. They said no because there was no infection. During the last days of her life they started giving her antibiotics, and if given earlier an infection might have been prevented.

My mom was placed on a Bipap high flow oxygen machine at 100%. She could barely eat because she could not stand to have the face mask off that long. She was in the hospital for three long weeks that felt like months. I could not even talk to her on the phone because she sounded like Darth Vader with her oxygen mask on and she was very hard to understand. I would call her and she would call me, but it was painful to listen to her suffer, saying she was starving because she couldn’t eat because her oxygen would drop too low. Once her mask came detached from the unit and she couldn’t breathe and panic set in.. It took the nurse a while to put on all the PPE just to come into the room to check on her and re attach her oxygen.. According to medical records, sometimes my mom was evaluated from outside of her hospital room via a telephone call from her doctor, due to limited supply of PPE and to limit health care exposure to Covid. My mom was treated with a one size fits all mentality, compromising the hospitals clinical practice guidelines that they would normally follow. I never contracted the virus from my mom while being in close contact with her daily.

On August 1, 2020 that was the last time I spoke to my dear mom. She called to wish me a Happy Birthday, she was so worried that she missed it. That’s the loving mother I had. Always thinking about us and not herself. She did not want to worry us. But I know how scared and alone she was. This did not have to end this way. Her story was not supposed to end this way. But on August 7, 2020, I was told we needed to let her go and they were going to unplug the Ventilator because she was not going to survive because she developed Ards (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) and it was time to “come say goodbye” they said.  I could not see my mom at all when she needed me most. But now  that she was on a vent we were aloud to watch her take her last breath. Four of us were allowed into her room at the end but not in the beginning when it mattered the most. I would have signed any waiver to be able to stay with my mom in the hospital during this time.

We are not the only family that has been left devastated in Fauci’s murderous wake. This will go down in history as the ultimate crime against humanity. To put a bounty on someone’s life for monetary gain to promote an agenda and resulting in loss of life is a breach of human rights to the fullest extent.

I am begging that someone somewhere will read this and will help us seek justice for my mom Shirley Rowe. She was the most loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend anyone could ask for.  Our lives will never be the same.
